Sustainability can be defined as the ability of human interacting with the world, preserving the environment not to compromise the natural resources for future generations.

It is a concept that generated two national programs in Brazil. The concept of sustainability is complex because it meets a set of interdependent variables, but we can say that it must have the ability to integrate Social Issues, Energy, Economic and Environmental.

In order to preserve the environment not to compromise the natural resources for future generations, have created two national programs: Procel (electricity) and Conpet.

Social Issues:

Energy question:

Without considering the energy issue, there is no sustainability. Without power the economy does not grow. And if the economy does not develop, the conditions of living deteriorate.

Environmental Issue:
